The Melbourne Bioinnovation Student Initiative (MBSI) is a not-for-profit organisation and charity, bringing together young people from diverse educational backgrounds who share an interest in medical technology or biotechnology. Since incorporation in 2021, MBSI now boasts hundreds of active member-volunteers and alumni, providing opportunities including multidisciplinary projects, networking events, and the annual Vinuri de Silva Biodesign Competition.
